The Third Studio Story

I’m Gabrielle, designer and founder of The Third Studio.

I always wanted to be a fashion designer, ever since I was a child. I studied fashion for 5 years and graduated from The Surrey Institute of Art & Design in 2003 with a BA(hons) Degree in Fashion.

Over my 16-year fashion career I worked my way up to becoming head of design and have designed for the majority of the high street along the way. In 2020 I decided I needed a new challenge, so I looked to one of my passions, jewellery!

I have always adored jewellery and after years of designing clothes this new venture could not only utilise my design skills, but also teach me lots of new ones. I dipped my feet in first with some polymer clay pieces then quickly became drawn to acrylic laser cutting. I was hooked. I completed a course on laser cutting, invested heavily in my own laser cutting machine and started designing. The Third studio was born.

I absolutely love creating these acrylic pieces and invest time to produce high quality, unique statement pieces that are a pleasure to wear and compliment personal style. All The Third Studio pieces are carefully designed and lovingly handmade by myself, at my home studio in Surrey.

I truly hope you enjoy the pieces as much as I have designing them.
